Fantasy AQUARIUM_02 Mug for Great East Japan Earthquake disaster relief
Simply add a hot drink and watch the magic happen as the mug changes from black and a unique Unissograff design appears.
The "Fantasy AQUARIUM_02" art-piece is collage of drawings, based on the theme of 'My Beloved Hometown', made by children in the Tohoku region of Japan that was devastated by the tsunami of the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.
The design emulates the ambience of music that was played as inspiration during its creation.
You can enjoy the image while listening to the music at this YouTube link:

20% of the net proceeds from your purchase is donated to NPO Baby Smile Ishinomaki as support funding for education for the children who live in tsunami-ravaged region of eastern Japan.
At Unissograff, we believe that fundamental to the upbringing of children is the need to first appreciate their indispensable place in society, and the peace and love that they bring to everyone it.
Unissograff is art that would be incomplete without children.
This artwork was created by Unissograff artist ca37 this very concept in mind.
Add some mystery to your beverage with this enchantingly designed heat-sensitive mug.
Or how about choosing something with your own favourite design? You could even have our artist create one from your own children's drawings!

[Donations generated by Tohoku artwork]
The origins of Unissograff™ can be found in the aftermath of the Great East Japan Earthquake which occurred on 11th March 2011 and we continue to donate to charities that work tirelessly to support mothers and children that are still affected even now, some ten years on.
Some of these donations are made to NPO Baby Smile Ishinomaki, who jointly managed Rakugaki Art workshops with Unisograff in Ishinomaki, Miyagi prefecture.
Baby smile Ishinomaki is an aid organisation formed for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami by a mother of two who was herself a victim of the disaster, having experienced the horrors while still pregnant with her second baby (her older child was only two years old at the time).
Initially, right after the disaster, their aid focused on providing support to the pregnant women and mothers with babies up to pre-school age who were living in neighbouring area of Ishinomaki, a coastal fishing town in Miyagi prefecture which suffered devastating damage.
They continue today, offering emotional and parenting support for mothers in the region, many of whom remain in temporary housing, who are still affected by those traumatic events and the hardships that followed.

I bought this mug for a good cause with fun, but I discovered a very practical use. When my coffee sits on my desk and gets cold the mug returns to black; this is a visual clue that I need to go to the coffee pot. Take breaks, get hot coffee and be thankful.
The mug itself is light and easy to clean - it came packed very safely in bubble wrap. Just don't put it in the dishwasher.
This is my favourite mug of the moment.
A little smaller than my preference (I like BIG mugs) but it is bright, mystical and sturdy.
And perfect for a quick cuppa.
The design stays for quite a while too, which I like.
And I like knowing when I look at it that I did some good by giving a little to the kids who made the drawings.
